Is a hair transplant permanent?
Yes. Transplanted follicles are taken from the DHT-resistant donor area at the back and sides of the scalp, so once they establish they continue to grow naturally for life.
Which technique is right for me: FUE, DHI, FUT or Hybrid?
It depends on your degree of loss, donor supply and goals. At your consultation Dr Ahsen assesses your scalp and recommends the approach, or combination, that will give you the best density and the most natural result.
Will the results look natural?
Natural results come from artistry: irregular hairline design, correct single-hair placement at the front, and precise control of the angle and direction of every graft. This is why Dr Ahsen performs each step personally.
Do I need to shave my head?
Not always. DHI and certain FUE approaches can often be performed without shaving the recipient area, which is especially important for our female patients.
Is the procedure painful?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and most patients find it very comfortable, often listening to music or watching a film throughout.
How long is the recovery?
Most people return to normal activity within a few days. Tiny crusts settle over the first week, transplanted hair sheds and then regrows, with the fuller result developing over 9-12 months.
